Unapologetically daring, activist, game-changing, wise, woke, beautiful, powerful, are all words that come to mind when I think about Hoda. She is an author, photographer and the awesome creative behind the one of a kind blog JooJoo Azad. If you haven’t stumbled upon her page, please check it out! It’s one of the dopest, if not THE dopest blogs I have ever read. JooJoo Azad creates content that explores the intersectionalities of the fashion, photography, writing, and video mediums. The blog also combats issues such as #BlackLivesMatter, feminism, and orientalism.
Hoda a self-described “radical, anti-capitalist, intersectional feminist, and body-positive activist”. She is a Muslim-Iranian writer, photographer, and activist living in Chicago. This young woman is seriously changing the game by challenging wrongs, building a powerful platform, and inspiring women and men around the world. Did I mention she also published the First-Ever photography book of modern Iranian fashion! Hoda was kind enough to share her story and some of her wisdom with us. Check it out:
